In season 2019/20 we will be playing our league rugby in Surrey 1. This will be our first season back in this highly competitive county league after 7 years playing in the London Leagues. We will also be having a crack at the National Cup (The RFU Junior Vase) and playing s few friendlies too. The Antlers, as we are known have a rich history of playing expansive entertaining rugby, of training hard and socialising harder.
To bolster our senior playing squad we welcome all new players to add to the players coming through our hugely successful youth section. With our new clubhouse in Bushy Park which we opened in September 2014 and our midweek training facility located at Udney Park Road, just off Teddington High Street this season is time to consolidate and start the move upwards. .
Training days and venues;
Mondays (from Mon 15th July) - Fitness training - at Teddington RFC, Bushy Park, Dora Jordan Road, off Queens Road, Teddington, TW11 0EA (10 minute walk from Teddington train station)
Wednesdays (from Weds 24th July) - Rugby training - at Teddington Sportsground, Udney Park Road, Teddington, TW11 9BB (5minute walk from Teddington train station)
ALL home matches are played at our clubhouse and grounds situated in the beautiful surroundings of Bushy Park
The previous decade has seen us rise from a struggling Surrey 4 club to London League 2. This is the highest level the club has ever played at. In this golden 7 year period we won 5 promotions and put together a record breaking 62 game winning streak. On our journey through the leagues we've also won two National cup triumphs at Twickenham Stadium; the RFU Junior Vase in 2010 and RFU Senior Vase in 2011. We were also given the accolade of being the Rugby World magazine British and European Team of the year in 2010. Not to mention a Middlesex Bowl triumph and a Middlesex club 7's trophy along the way. This season everyone will be working incredibly hard to get us back into the London leagues.
