We're looking for passionate, experienced and inspiring coaches for our women's team next season.

Teddington are looking for a passionate, experienced and inspiring Head Coach to lead its women’s section in the 2022/2023 season, as well as hearing from possible assistant coaches

The successful head coach applicant will instill a high quality and enjoyable culture within the section and set clear goals that will contribute to the growth and development of players.

We are looking for a head coach who can balance coaching a large group of adult women players with differing levels of ability and be able to motivate them in a positive way throughout the season. We want a coach who will take the time to get to know what makes the players tick and demonstrate their own commitment and desire for success.

We are also interested in hearing from people early on in their coaching journeys to join the team as assistant coaches.


About the club:

Teddington women have recently celebrated their 30th anniversary year and is proud to have one of the country’s longest running women’s teams.

After a difficult season following a number of retirements and the loss of a lot of experience, the team will be in rebuilding mode next year and will have a core of new and young players.

Training is twice a week currently.

The Head Coach will work closely with the Team Captain and Team Manager and will work with assistant coaches to design and deliver training sessions.

They will be in regular communication with the women’s committee at the club.

Desired Attributes for our Head Coach
Applicants for this role should ideally have the following attributes;
• Hold, or be working towards, Level 2 Rugby Union Coaching Qualification
• Playing and coaching experience at a suitable level previously
• Have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate at all levels
• Be hardworking, honest, trustworthy and able to buy into and positively shape the culture and ethos at the club
• Solid coaching experience


Commitment required

Around 2-6 hours per week
• Made up of attendance of minimum 1 training sessions per week and a weekend fixture every other weekend
• The Club will support personal development including coaching qualifications where appropriate
• The Head Coach will work to develop individual development plans for all players
• The Head Coach will work with at least one assistant coach
• Travel expenses to away games are covered
• There is payment associated with this role

We are also seeking to hear from people earlier on in their coaching journey to get in touch about joining the coaching and management team as an assistant.
