The 2nd XV travelled to Reeds Weybridge RFC on Saturday for the Surrey Rugby end of season play offs. This year saw a new format introduced where the top teams all play each other in shorter games all on the same afternoon.
A resounding win in the first match against Sutton & Epsom ensured a top two finish was secured. Unfortunately it wasn’t to be third time lucky against Chipstead in the final game, with the perennial league leaders making it a hat trick of wins against Teddington this season. However we made them work for their win and it was a closer affair than our last league meeting a few weeks back. Fantastic to see so many young homegrown boys representing the club. Time for a few weeks rest now, before we start thinking about summer fitness and next seasons preparations. The target will be to go one better next term.
