An even more scratch side than usual, patched up with borrowed players and returnees from long lay offs, provided keen opposition in this memorial fixture for Tony Hawkes. After a first half where the home team looked likely to run away with the game the Stags rallied in the second half and ran in the try of the day late on which involved five sets of hands before the ball was placed over the line.
