Congratulations to Clare CHAMBERLAIN , Huw DAVIES and Jonny CROFT who were all inducted as club Vice Presidents at the pre match lunch on Saturday. Here they are with Club Chairman Simon DAVIS.
Clare CHAMBERLAIN has been steering the womens section for a number of years now. She took over the reins at a challenging time, but has built a team who are loyal, dedicated to the cause and never short of enthusiasm despite results often going against them. She has been Ladies XV Player, Ladies Captain and current Ladies Chair and thanks to her the womens section are now in a position where they can look forward to a positive future.
Huw DAVIES has held a number of roles throughout the club as a minis coach, minis and Juniors team manager and First Aid lead. He is now heavily involved with the senior men and is part of the Men's 1st XV team management group as well as coordinating the senior clubs first aid and physio. A true clubman whose volunteering has helped so many sections of the club over the years.
Jonny CROFT is a true Antlers legend and unsung hero. He has been a groundsman at the club since 1982. An ever present during that time, even now, when most people his age are enjoying their retirement, he ensures the lines on the pitch are painted every week. When he's not doing that he'll be keeping the clubhouse and the compound spick and span. Jonny likes to keep a low profile at the club, but the work he puts in has benefitted everybody over the years.
