Hope you are all enjoying the summer break and although we have plenty of the holidays still to go, there is now lots of work and preparation going on around the club as we look ahead to another rugby season starting this September.

The start of the new season is always an exciting time, bringing fresh challenges, new opportunities, and renewed ambitions across all sections of the club. Pre-season training has already begun for a few of our teams, so we can start to look forward to seeing that hard work translate into success on the field in a month or two.

The support that our four main sponsors Astir, Stadium Support Services, Fortify Wealth and Savils have given us over the last 12 months has been invaluable and we are delighted we are continuing those relationships for another season

We have a packed calendar ahead. Youth rugby returns on Sunday 6th September with further communications on that from our Youth Chairman shortly. Competitive league fixtures for our men and women are also kicking off in September. There will be plenty of social and fundraising events throughout the season; the TRFC City Lunch will be returning in January plus next season marks the 60th anniversary for our club, and the plan is to mark the occasion with a Celebration Ball in the Spring. We will be looking for a small organizing committee for the Ball so please keep an eye out for communications and help if you can.

Rugby is about much more than results, it is about teamwork, friendship, respect, and community. Volunteering is a great way of being part of the game and as always we need helping hands to keep the club moving forward and being successful. As well as an organizing committee for the Ball there a few other volunteer roles which we need to fill prior to next season. These are,

• TRFC Events & Bookings Coordinator
• TRFC Saturday Catering Coordinator
• TRFC Pre Match Lunch Coordinator

These roles are mostly administrative and can be performed remotely. Please contact myself at sjd2326@virginmedia.com for further details.

Finally, the subscriptions products will be going live for you all to purchase on the website very soon. Subs are the biggest revenue stream the club has and timely collection is vitally important. Again, there will be more communications in early August on how you can buy these.
