Away at Esher for 9.30 register

Hi all,
There are 5 pieces of news this week, all very important, so please keep reading:
1 - Details for Sunday 10th
2 - Message ref. Parental Responsibility
3 - Roles for 25th Feb Festival
4- Volunteering
5 - Lions Christmas camp

1 - This Sunday we are at Esher RFC, 369 Molesey Rd, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey KT12 3PF.
There is some parking on the left hand side before you turn into the club and in the club.
I will do the register at 9.30. I will now need your child to confirm who their responsible adult is for that day (see point 2 below).
17th Dec - we will be back at Bushy park for a Christmas themed last training before the 25th.

2 - A message went out this week to other age groups due to a couple of recent incidents. Please see a summary below:
1) During the session, YOUR child remains YOUR responsibility – the coaches are there to help them enjoy themselves and learn rugby skills - so keep close.
2) On arrival can you and your child make yourself known to the Admin, or whoever is taking the register, so that we know who is there AND the adult responsible for them.
3) IF you are not staying with your age group during training, it is essential that you nominate another parent to be responsible, and that your child, that parent AND either your head coach, your admin or your child's team coach are aware of the arrangement - this is for your own child's safety!
4) Your child should not leave the training area without their nominated responsible adult. The coaches are not responsible for taking children to the toilet, to sit out of training etc.

3 - Roles for the 25th Feb Festival
I will need 5 head volunteers to help organise the following areas:
Catering
Parking
Pitch Marshalling
Pitch set up
First Aid

You will be responsible for enlisting more people to help in your area on the day and come to a couple of meetings with myself and Tony to get it all up and running. Drinks will be available at the meetings!
Please let me know by/on Sunday if you can take on one of these areas. All other members will be expected to help out in one of the groups on the day.

4- Volunteering - Set up. For those who were at rugby last Sunday you will be aware of the message from Tony that we are really struggling to get volunteers to help in the U9's for Set Up. To better explain what is involved with this and how you can help please see a description of what's involved:
* 2/3 volunteers to arrive 8.30am
* Set up in the club house for teas/instant coffees/bacon-sausage rolls etc. This means get the plastic cups out, fill with tea bags or coffee. Cut and butter rolls. Set up milk and sugar station. Get the hot water urn up and running. Put up signs for the teas and coffees and
serve the early birds until 9.30.
* There is normally a lady who does the cooking and the bar staff usually arrive to serve posh coffee from the bar at 9.30.
* The coaches set up the pitches.
* 2 more volunteers are needed from 9.30-10.30 to serve teas/instant coffees/ bacon rolls etc.
* 2 more volunteers to serve from 10.30-11.30 and then put away urn and any left over cups.
Therefore even if you can't help out from 8.30am you can still offer help throughout the morning.
A huge thank you to Katherine Davey, Sonia Ross, Kathryn Kindness and Saoirse Davis who helped out last weekend.

4 - Lions Christmas camp - available on the 22nd Dec, from 9-4 @ Teddington rugby club. £45 for the day.
