Thanks to everyone who helped out with the cat herding at Middlesex Festivals last weekend.

Hello all,

Hope your kids enjoyed last Sunday’s Middlesex Festival. A big festival but really well run. Thanks to everyone who helped out with the cat herding.

Teddington came up against some stiff opposition but I’m hearing played well. Teddington A1 and A2 came up against each other in the Vase Final but decided to call it a non-contested draw as it was Mother’s Day!

To this weekend…………..

Firstly, a big apology. We have had to cancel our attendance at the Cobham Floodlit Festival on Friday night (11th). Simply we had no coaches or referees available to represent Teddington U8. All the more reason we need more parents to help us with the coaching and refereeing - see later point on this subject :-)

Sunday – 13th March

We have two teams (Teddington Blue and Teddington Gold) over at the Old Guildfordians festival. Those players selected will have already been notified. Please confirm your attendance or otherwise we may need to swap out players.

To those players in the A squads from last weekend that are not getting a run-out this weekend – you are going to be first on the players list for the London Irish Festival.

Everyone else not at Guildford, we are in Bushy Park as per normal. 9:45am training start.

Wednesday 16th March – Next Season Planning Session

As coaches, we are really grateful for all the help we get from you and are really excited at taking the children into contact next season. Also importantly we feel like we are growing as an age group, and want to keep up the momentum.

However, with contact, our coaching levels and the need for support increases. What we’d like to do is have a bit of a open session where we explain our approach for the remainder of the season and for next season. We also want your feedback and ideas.

The venue is Teddington Arms from 8pm, Wed 16th March. We really hope you can pop along and have a chat.

Lions Half-Term Rugby Camps
Lions Sports Academy (previously known as Titans) are running an Easter rugby camp at the club. Further details can be found on the website. These camps have always proved popular with the kids, are a great opportunity to hone their skills and prove an effective way of burning off excess energy!

End of Season Dinner and Dance
Lastly the End of Season Dinner and Dance is Saturday 7th May at Kempton Park - £55 per ticket (fizz reception, 3 course dinner, games, live band, auction and dancing). Email Suzanne how many tickets you want now, pay and sort out your Tux, cocktail dress and dance moves later.

End of Season Pool Party
Save the date 14th May for the end of season pool party details to follow in the coming weeks.

That’s all for now. As always, any questions, please shout.

See you Sunday.
