Dear Parents and Players,
I am very sad to say that I will be stepping down as Head Coach for next season (U10). George has decided to give football a try this season and with other commitments we can only fit in one competitive weekend sport into the diary.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time over the past few years. TRFC has to be the best club in London. I say this not just talking about the quality of player and coach but also the way that the club functions; its ethos and philosophy surrounding the game. With competitive touch line parenting becoming more of an issue these days, it is so good to see a club keep revisiting its core values of fun, participation, development and calm encouragement for the young people in its care.
Thank you for your support during the U9 season. I would like to ask that you extend the same support to Neil Carter who is nominally taking over as Head Coach … again!!!!! The core team of coaches, first aiders and management staff will all stay in place. A big thank you those key people as well for all that they did last year.
I hope that the Fletchers’ time at TRFC is not over and that this turns out to be a bit of a sabbatical but I very much hope that the U10 season goes really well.
All the very best of luck,
Richard
