What a great day to be playing or watching rugby!!
The weather was glorious and while we didn’t need our brand new, rather palatial, event shelter it was good practice to work out how to put it together (as well as acting as a bonding exercise for the parents).
The children were on top form, ready to warm up and be prepared to play.
They demonstrated the same ability as they showed in training last week – that they do know what they’re doing.
The two mixed ability squads (selection may have been determined by time of arrival :-)) put up great performances against Ealing, Rosslyn Park and then London Irish.
Contrary to all discussion beforehand London Irish provided the toughest (though friendliest) opposition.
The scores went against Teddington but it could have gone either way in all six games with one of the teams drawing 1, losing 2 by one score each only and the other team having similar results.
All in all, it was a fabulous morning, enjoyed by all and it shows huge promise for the rest of the season for our U8 C/D teams.
