TRFC U8's A Team @ London Welsh, 19 Oct 14

“The TRFC Under 8’s “A” squad took on Richmond, Rosslyn Park, Ealing and hosts London Welsh at an informal tournament on Sunday. With some slightly oversized pitches, and an experimental 7 minutes each way per game, this was a real test of stamina, as well as handing skills and strength in what is proving to be an increasingly physical season.

To say the boys lost 2 and drew 2 of their 4 games does not tell the full story. Two very competitive draws with London Welsh and Ealing were followed by a 14-13 defeat to Richmond, and a 13-10 defeat to champions Rosslyn Park, in a super display of attacking rugby. There were notably strong performances from Jesse Goodall, Flynn Hinchcliffe and Ben Williams, but the growing team spirit across the whole squad is the most pleasing development to watch.
