The B2 team played really well and very hard today and they were unlucky to narrowly miss out by 1 point on being able to play for 3rd position in the final for the Bowl. They were also unlucky in the draw and ended up being the only team to have two consecutive games without a break. The boys, parents and coaches pulled together and we saw some brilliant rugby and clever thinking by the boys and tremendous support from behind the white fences and under the very odd looking gazebo!

Chobham - drew 5-5
First try of the day scored by James and set up by Oscar set the pace.
Max focussed on the game took the opportunity of picking up a dropped ball to set up the second try of the match scored by Dylan.
Max K went on to score the next try taking us into a 3-1 lead at half time.

The second half saw Dylan score again with a "corner flagging" dive.
Dlair and Thomas did some excellent tagging despite some boys using the ball to guard their tags!
Dylan almost scored another try set up beautifully by Thomas but it was disallowed.
Dlair also had a try disallowed after tripping up by the try line, Teddington still in possession of the ball allowed Dylan to use his 'rugby brain' and quick thinking to score again.

Wimbledon match 4-7 win to Teddington
James once again scored the first try.
A knock on from Wimbledon allowed Oscar a chance to score the second try of this match. There was some excellent passing from Thomas, James, Oscar and Dlair who went on to score try 3 of the match.
Both Louis and Dlair showed off their tagging skills.

The second half showed Oliver demonstrate some very good rugby hands. James scored another try with brilliant support from Mateo. Oliver went on to score a try too. Dylan left everyone behind with his fast pace scoring the 6th try of the match. Max scored the 7th and final try with Mike commentating that the match had been electric! All the boys showed off their tagging skills and strong defence in this match.

Reeds 7 Teddington 5 - match lost
Reeds demonstrated their speed and skill straight away. We went into the match knowing they were top of the leader board.
Louis scored the opening try for the team pushing through the Reeds tough defence.
This was a very tense game with some questionable reffing highlighted by those in the know!

In the second half, despite being behind, the boys pushed through with Oscar scoring another try.
James continued to shine and used his brain to score again after the team had pushed the Reeds defence hard having been tagged four times.
Max K scored an amazing and fast try but it was disallowed.
Mateo's hard effort produced another try too.
The boys were committed and emotional and it was a hard match to loose.

Cobham 8 Teddington 5, match lost
Cobham demonstrated very strong defensive tagging straight away, despite starting off with possession, the boys were unfortunate and had to turn over the ball before getting a chance to score.
The team pressed on hard and Dylan scored our opening try. Oscar went on to score the second try with some good dodging tactics. Max used his glory slide to score the 3rd try after cleverly picking up a dropped ball. The score was 4-3 at half time.

The second half saw Thomas demonstrate some excellent tagging and then passing to his team mate Dylan to score another try.
Max produced another lovely sliding try.
Teddington had another try disallowed after a beautiful long pass from Oliver to Dylan. Dlair was unlucky and just missed out on scoring another try too.

Cobham played well and passed the ball very quickly and efficiently after being tagged which gave them the advantage to win.

All the boys were disappointed not to get a chance to play a final, they played well for their first festival as a new team and showed us their immense strengths as well as areas to work on.

Well done coaches and lines men too, that looked like hard work today.
