U8 C's at Reeds Festival 18.11.12

The sun was shining on Whitely Village and all the kids were rearing to go.

The pre-match warm-ups really helped them get their game heads on.

Our first 3 games, against London Welsh, Richmond then Chobham, were close and hard-fought. Great passion from the team. They score lines didn’t go our way, but they were very close and we had some highlights: Apart from scoring plenty of tries, we had a few great moments where the ball was passed and received at pace. We were also told by our ref that we were the only team in our pool to have won a turnover by taking 7 tags in one play.

Our 4th game, against Effingham and Leatherhead, was our best, we saw our squad keeping in position in defence and supporting well in attack, and we won!

In all, it was a great day of rugby and some great signs that hard work in training is starting to pay off in competition. Well done the C’s!
