A warm sunny day greeted us for the first festival of the season at Guildfordians RFC.
First up were Guildfordians, with home advantage they proved to be good opposition but Teddington prevailed with a close 1 try to 0 victory.
Next up were Farnborough but not everything went our way but the 3 first half tries were enough to see us through 3 tries to 1.
Effingham and Leatherhead were our next opposition and this was going to be the big game with both teams unbeaten. At half time we were 2 tries up but Effingham fought back hard in the second half and used the slope in the pitch to great effect drawing level with the final play of the game, 2 tries all.
Our final pool match was against Camberley who had played well all day but our speed at the breakdown left them moving backwards all the time and we finished the game comfortable winners 4 tries to 0.
Due to the festival set up the Final was to be a re match with Effingham and Leatherhead. This was a very tough battle with us scoring first and then being camped on their try line for most of the first half but the hill once again was used very well by our opposition scoring twice in the second half even though we battled hard we finished the game 1 yard from their line with a knock on.
The team played some fantastic rugby and we are already looking forward to next weekend.
