The RFU features Giselle Mather a Teddington coach, Teddington player and still an active VP of the club

This month England Rugby are running a fantastic piece on Giselle who features in their 'Real Rugby stories'. Although she now plies her trade as a full time professional coach at London Irish her rugby roots come from her home club Teddington.

As a gangly teenager Giselle was part of the first ever Teddington Ladies team back in the late 1980's. She then went on to play for Wasps Ladies and England including the World Cup triumph of 1994, before returning to Teddington for her final season as a player.

Giselle also coached our 1st XV from 2008 to 2012 and was instrumental in our 5 promotions in 6 seasons, two National cup triumphs at Twickenham Stadium and a Middlesex Cup triumph too.

She is still actively involved at the club as one of our Vice Presidents and provides no end of advice and help to our coaches, players and administrators.
