We are looking for 2 potentially paid roles to run catering at the club

Teddington Rugby is seeking to fill 2 roles to help provide catering services on weekends.

1. Catering Coordinator

The Catering Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating Sunday catering operations. This will include liaison with:

• fixture secretaries and lead coaches to confirm catering requirements each weekend
• the cook/chef or on-duty age groups to ensure appropriate numbers and types of meal are prepared
• ensuring correct numbers of volunteers, baristas and order taking staff
• the Club Treasurer regarding payments and receipts

The Coordinator will also be required to:

• maintain kitchen consumables stock levels, including purchasing/online ordering of kitchen supplies and organising deliveries to clubhouse
• in conjunction with the chef/cook, ordering or buying provisions and ingredients
• keep up to date records of all invoices and payments.

The role to involve approximately 6 -8 hours each week, mostly during weekdays, with occasional Sunday mornings involvement.

Although a volunteer is preferred, the club is willing to pay someone to fulfil this important coordination function at a rate of £7.50 per hour.

2. Cook/Chef

Teddington Rugby requires a cook/chef to provide freshly prepared quality food for Senior players, parents and supporters.

The role will involve sourcing provisions and preparing players meals for Saturday afternoons and providing directly, or via oversight of volunteers, a breakfast service on Sunday mornings plus occasional BBQs.

The hours and number of meals required will vary, depending on fixtures. It is envisaged that between 40 to 80 players meals will be required on Saturday afternoons. There will be a breakfast service from 9.15 - 11.45 on most Sunday mornings. It is likely that the role will require about 8 hours most weekends during the rugby season plus some buying/preparation time in addition.

The role would appeal to either self-employed chefs or enthusiastic amateurs who must be reliable and flexible. The club is willing to pay £12.50-£13.50 per hour depending upon experience.
