Wins for all 5 of the clubs senior teams

Enjoy all your rugby weekends but savour the winning weekends coz they don't happen very often
- Simon Davis - Club Chairman

Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th January will be officially remembered as an Antlers winning weekend, as all five of the clubs most senior teams notched up impressive victories.

On Saturday The 1st XV got the ball rolling with a 7 try bonus point win in their London 3 home game against New Milton RFC. This was quickly followed by an impressive merit league win for our 2nd XV over at Old Cranleighans RFC and the Saturday action was rounded off by the evergreen Antlers 3rd XV battling their way to a fine victory over a Belsize Park XV at Bushy Park. Everyone then gathered back at the Shed for some mutual congratulations and a celebratory sherry.

On Sunday lunchtime The Antlers Colts kicked off proceedings over at our close friends and rivals Twickenham RFC against their Colts. This was a real firework of a match which was played at such breathless speed, intensity and try scoring prowess that the scoreboard operator had to be given oxygen and a full body rub down at the final whistle.

Just as the colts were heading off for a well earned rest the Antlers Ladies were the final match on back at Bushy Park. Their National League match against The Ladies from Cullompton (Devon) was another high tempo, entertaining affair, with the Antlers Ladies playing catch-up for most of the game. Showing unbelievable courage and bottomless reserves of determination they scored the all important winning try in the final move of the game. What a way to bring the curtain down on a superb weekend of Antlers Rugby....Well done to all the players, coaches, physios and supporters who were involved and lets hope another golden weekend will come along really soon.
