Welcome to Teddington U7s.

A few points to note:

Teddington Rugby is inclusive, competitve and above all fun and there will be a firm emphasis on the latter in the U6 age group
Training starts at 09:45 and lasts for 2 hours. Please try to arrive 20 minutes early for the first 3 weeks to allow for registraion
Our main method of communication is by email - please ensure you have provided us with an email address you have regular access to
We are run by volunteers. Ideally we need a coach-player ratio of 1 to 5. Please don't be shy and step up and ask how you can help. If you wish to volunteer regularly we will provide you with training and ask you to undertake a CRB check
Parents / carers are asked to remain at the session with their children - if you need to leave, even if only briefly, please let someone know
Players should wear sensible sports clothing. Studded rugby boots are not essential
We do not insist on players wearing mouthguards though some do prefer to use them. We will have a dentist visting Bushy Park early in the season for those who would like to get one professionally fitted

Structure of the Season

September	Get used to the oval ball, lots of games, relays and having fun. Emphasis on core skills and eye-hand co-ordination
September 13th	Welcome BBQ after training. All children and parents/guardians welcome and encouraged to attend
Autumn	Begin translating core skills into game related situations. Likely split of sessions between older and younger players. Please ensure kids have appropriate wet weather clothing
Winter	Greater emphasis on games and competition, especially for older players. Children need plenty of layers to keep out the cold!
Christmas	U6 internal festival
Spring	Players (and parents/guardians!) enjoy warm weather rugby
